R. Patrick Abergel, M.D.
R. Patrick Abergel, M.D. performs laser cosmetic surgery and liposuction procedures using the newest and most innovative techniques. He has more than 20 years of research and patient care experience in both France and the United States.
Dr. Abergel takes pride in innovating some of the latest advances in liposculpture, including his own patent pending instruments. Following graduation from the University Pierre-Marie Curie in Paris, he left his native France to come to the United States to complete a research fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Harbor-UCLA School of Medicine. The results of his research during his residency earned Dr. Abergel a number of distinguished awards, including The American Heart Association Fellowship Award, The Dermatology Foundation Award, and The National Alopecia Areata Foundation Award.
After nearly a decade as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine, he is now a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the USC School of Medicine.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, certified in Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He also is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and of the American Board of Laser Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Abergel, a specialist in liposuction and cosmetic surgery, has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, and Europe as a guest lecturer. An Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Jensen attended Yale University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Stanford University Hospital. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College.
